Grand Marquis, '99 Backup Lens Cleaning

For a variety of reasons (age = worn/missing silicone & rubber seals, mainly), over-time, dirt & dust has collected inside the backup lenses of my 1999 Grand Marquis and it's gotten to the point that something needs to be done, b/c it makes the rest of the car look "trashy" (& the "trashiness" of the driver &/or passenger[s], is a concern to-be dealt w/, on an other site[!])!
My 1st thought might've been to simply stick the hose of my compressor in one of the holes where the stuff's getting in, in the first-place-- & just blowing it out... not that simple though: along w/ the accumulation of dirt, the "holes" also allow moisture in, which turns the dirt into mud-- not thick mud, but the dirt's now stiching to the lens surface and is quite noticable.
The only thing that I can see to do now (short-of trying to find another trunk-reflector/backup light assembly @ a junkyard that DOESN'T have the same problem) is to disassemble the assembly, & clean 'em from the inside HOWEVER, I'm havign a great-deal of difficuly doing that without breaking/cracking any of the plastic pieces; b/c most of the remaining silicone/adhesive is still holdin'-on-tight!
YES: I've already removed the assembly from the trunk-lid-- but my problem remains.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

PS I've also explored the possibility of just blastin' it out w/ a water-hose-- The problem there-in lies w/ the issue of "drying"-out the lenses: if I flushed it out w/ water, in the ammount & w/ the force necessary to achieve the desired result, I'd end-up with a brake/backup lens "greenhouse" that'd never be able to evaporate..... WAIT a sec'!!!--That-is, UNLESS it was possible to remove the lenses, without damaging anything. Then they'd dry-out in a flash! Oh, wait..... THAT's the ENTIRE freakin' problem!!!
