Angry Driving In Snow

welcome to my hell....on the way home from getting dinner tonight, what should have been a half hour trip turned into an hour and a half trip. it was snowing like a mad man, and my drivers side wiper stopped working and i couldn't see. so i pulled over, took the passenger side one and put it on the driver's side. all was good. turned the key to go. car won't start. trying over and over again. still won't go. i look at my gas guage. i'm out of gas. SHIT. so i stand outside my car in the snow downpour with my hazards on for half an hour waiting for someone to come by. luckily someone finally did, and luckily it was a construction worker that just happened to have a full gas can in the bed of his truck. filled up, car started, and i was on my way. almost home, on the last corner before my house, i lost the ass end of my car and went into a snowbank. my drive wheels were in about 10 inches of snow. no-one was coming by, so i had to dig myself out. 45 minutes later, i finally got it out, and limped it home. i hate snow. i hate my car. die die die.

yeah that happened last week with me and my friend Tom...
Tom has a 93 T-Bird
there was 12 inches of snow on the ground
i only live about 10 minutes away from my school, yet it took 35-40 mins just to get home
Tom tried to drive down my hill to go home but he got stuck
Tom then realizing that he was stuck, used his rear floor mats to break free
Tom called me 20 minutes later saying that he left his floor mats at the bottom of my street and he needed me to go and pick them up before they were lost...
i was walking down the hill, when i lost my footing, fell on my ass, and slid down the hill for about 20 feet....when i tried to get up, i fell again......all because of the snow

my truck is retarded in winter.
60/40 weight bias + RWD + No limited slip = no traction in winter.

i feel ya on the snow issue. we were going to the mall last weekend and it took us forever to get there. we are at an intersection and get rearended into the intersection and then smucked in the front with my moms 4 runner...not a happy camper she was. and i was walking home from school and the old people down the street obviously dont know what salt is and their driveway (which i had to cross) was glare ice. i fell on my ass and hurt my knee and then tried to get up and fell face first

I was driving one day up our ski-hill during a howling blizzard and had to put the chains on the front wheels to get enough traction. This means you can drive @ about 20 mph. We are slowly driving up the road when a Toyota Celica GT4 comes flying by and the passenger is hanging out the window yelling 'So long suckers..." and throws a ton of soft snow all over the car.

So we continue up the hill. About two thirds of the way up the hill there is a big cambered hairpin corner we call "Dunlop" that is exposed and often icy from the wind. Well it seems like the four wheel drive turbocharged 'so long suckers' Celica has charged into the corner and buried the car into the snowbank about four feet in on the inside of the corner.

My passenger turns to me and says "You reckon we stop?"
And I replied "How the hell are we going to help them out? We have enough trouble driving let alone trying to get going if we stop."
"Thought so" so Dave winds down the window hangs out the car and screams "Sucked in ya bastards, here have some help!" and threw a plastic spoon to them...
"Dig your way out."

Meh, front drive usually has just as many shortcomings as rear drive in winter.
