shift linkage question

k well i am in the middle of taking out my stock d15 motor, so i can put in the b18a. well every thing is ready to be taken out except for the shift linkage.

where do you take the shift linkage off at, what part of the shift linkage. i think i know where, but i dont wanna fuck up so yeah.

so yeah plz respond fast, i am gonna hold up on the swap till i get the answer

where the linkage meets the tranny there is a little metal clip that covers a little stud. take off the clip then pound out the little stud.

lets us know then the b18 is running :jump:

did you get Aftermarket shift linkage? or are you gonna cut yours??

its a cut one. well i took taht clip off and i see that little stud in there, thats rusted in there. so now i am stuck because that little stud is rusted on in there, and since i have to get from it underneath, that doesnt really leave me much room to get a hammer in there since my jack and only go so high. anyone got any ideas on how i could take that stud out ?

generally when we pull an engine he does all that bs under the car while i start in the bay.

i asked what he uses....says a socket with an allen wrench attached (1 piece tool). says rusted or not....it's a bitch to get out

You have to use a 3/8th( i think thats the size, if not a lil bigger then. ) plunge to get it out. It is a bitch to get it out sometimes.

i used an air chissle came out no matter what. your stock linkage wont work for a b18a i know i did the swap! you need a teg linkage and shorten it.

I would just buy a hasport shift linkage .

i would buy from from hasport but no money. no air chissle either. that thing is fucking stuck, i used an allen wrench with a socket like ami said, but i just dont got the force to hit it hard enough for it to move, so then right now i am using a gear puller, and i got got it moved in alittle bit so now the pin is flush with teh linkage. but now i cant the the gear puller centered because as i turn it, it just slides over onto the linkage.

this thing is really starting to piss me off. plus i had to go back to college for teh week, so now my car will sit till spring break, grrr, now that pisses me off even more. i would go back next weekend, but get drags, gotta go watch some drag racing.

alittle OT but this fucking girl i was chatting with called me a psycho because i called her sister a slut. when her sister told me she liked me and that we were soul mates and stuff so like i opened my heart to her, then she fucking tells me that she just wants to be friends, WTF. ok so now i am pissed. fucking girls, they just fuck you over every single fucking time. sorry ami and lisa

About the shift linkage. Just save up a lil bit more man. Its makes ur swap much easier.
