Question 01 T&C LXi 3.8 Rebuilding Tranny couple ???'s

I got a 2001 Town & Country w/3.8 it has 166,237 miles on it.... I'm rebuliding the tranny.... while the tranny Is down what repairs or what should I Replace on her while she's taken apart(pretty much what i'm asking is what normally goes on these van around these miles or before, that should be looked at or replaced???) Thanks for the help!!!

Also what tranny fluid & Motor Oil should I Use on her with 166K miles???

With a tranny rebuild use ATF+4 fluid ONLY, since you are rebuilding tranny I would use MOPAR which you can get at Wal Mart.

Check your CV Halfshafts since you already have them out, if you haven't replaced them yet I would consider installing new ones at this time, no sense it doing the work again in the near future. Check all your steering ;inkage compotents, such as ball joints, inner and outer tien rod ends, stabilizer bar bushings, struts. This would be a good time to check your spark plugs and wires also. The list could go on and on depending on how much you want to spend. One other thing that I think most people overlook is checking the rear wheel bearings and repack them.

Motor mounts may be weak. One of them was bad when I had my trans overhauled. I also had the CV joints replaced since they were worn.
