I seem to have a small leak somewhere....so i put some of the leak die in it couldn't find leak now after about 3 weeks i see a light dusting of the lime green die on the top of my compressor where could this be coming from? don't see a leak anywhere and i know its leaking somewhere because i had to re-charge it again. Re: 98' Jimmy 4.3 vortec ac problems

When you recharged it did you use wallmart type stop leak death kit?
If so you have blowed and messed up your AC system and the leak checking.

To check for leaks you need to look the complete system over.
Look the evaporator over insidelike pull resister block and peak in ther and under it at drain hole..
Check all ac lines and fittings and condenser over good.
Always look and check on the under side of stuff for leakage
Check compresser front seal and case and lines and presser switches to it.
And also the refill valves fittings,
If leaking very bad there should be a large amount of leak dye or oil leakage someplace.
