Performance Chip for 2001 Rodeo
I use my 2001 Rodeo V6 4X4 to tow a 18 foot travel trailer. When I get up on the highway the rodeo struggles to keep up with traffic. Would one of the performance chips work for this? Jetchip.com makes a chip for the Rodeo. It requires the ECU to be sent to them for reprogramming. Anyone have any experience with this? Where is the ECU located?

Yes. That helps some but need just a little more power.

Re: Performance Chip for 2001 Rodeo
Rodeos aren't exactly ideal towing vehicles. I'd be more concerned with how your transmission is doing. As far as the chip thing, I don't think it would really help much.

Re: Performance Chip for 2001 Rodeo
Your correct about a Rodeo not being ideal... I'd much rather have an F-250 to pull the camper but the Rodeo is what I've got. What is the concern with the transmission? Overheating or some other type of stress? I know there are transmission coolers for towing.
