stereo wiring question

I am trying to install a pioneer stereo in a 95 ford explorer. i have hooked up all the needed power and i can get power to the stereo. the problem is that i do not know how to hook up the speakers. all of the wires coming out of the dash do not match the wires coming from the new stereo. also concerning the wires coming from the dash i have no clue where each wire goes and they have no color pattern????
