New project: Revell 240Z
I'm starting on my next project, the Revell Datsun 240Z and as I'm preparing the body, I notice a little tab as shown here:
![]() It looks like it's there to hold the hood when it's closed, but it also looks like it doesn't really belong. So if someone who has done this kit can tell me if i need to remove it or not, I'd appreciate it. Also, what's the best paint to simulate chrome? I've heard of something called Alclad but I don't have an airbrush, which is what I believe you need for it. Is there something that comes in a spray can? I only ask because even though Revell chromes their parts, you still have to cut them from the tree and sand them.

Tab
The real car has the bonnet catch in that position - I would leave it there for now or mock up the bonnet to see if you need it. I have this kit too but haven't made it yet - too busy fixing the real thing!!!
Cheers Glenn
