Can we turbo the 2.5?

I know it all comes down to $$$ but was thinking of a mild kit for the Duke.

Figure it has 8.3:1 which is acceptable for forced induction, alot of room at the exhaust manifold, rather simple ECM...I believe, definately could use some F/I , not looking to roast my clutch but maybe a 4-6PSI unit.....dunno, what do you think? Would I need a stand-alone fuel system or could the factory brain be remapped to adjust?

Just a brainstorm for now.

Back in the day, Pontiac offered all kinds of upgrades for the Iron Duke including a kit to enlarge the engine to 3.0L. I'm sure parts are around. Look into the Fiero clubs, they seem to know all the tricks.

A kit to enlarge a 2.5L to 3L? What comes in the kit, a block and heads? I knew a guy that bored and stroked a 350 to a 388... and I thought he was crazy.

Anyway, yeah, turbo it!

I used a smog pump to boost a carbed subaru a bunch of years back. Anything is possible, all depends on how creative you are and if your desired results are possible with what you have to work with.
