head design and compression = gas mileage
basically waht head design has the bet fuel mileage. i kno the HF got great mileage. 8 vavles and long gears and light weight car.
the VX also got great mileage. VTEC-E and slightly shorter gears. now from what i undeerstand that VTEC-E is 16 vavles. so what kinda head design makes for the best gas mileage? also i've been researching that higher compression ratios result in a better thermal efficiency and fuel efficiency up to a certain point. how tru is this? Re: head design and compression = gas mileage
there are way too many things that play a role in gas mileage to narrow it down to head design.. as far as compression, the higher the compression the higher the octane you need to use to prevent detonation.
