A/C just serviced but T° not very cold
I listers
My '00 Suburban has been A/C serviced by a pro : - drain and refill with R134a, - oil, - fluo tracer leak. Now T° is cold but not very cold. It's like there a heater and cooling blend. Compressor runs fine. Any advices is welcome. Christophe Salvaing |

Re: A/C just serviced but T° not very cold
Does the "pro" know it's not working right? -- give him a chance to fix it-- sometimes it takes a second look.....
Pressure readings would be nice.......

Re: A/C just serviced but T° not very cold
Why did the "pro" service it, what was wrong? If you think it's really also blending in heat, bypass the heater core with some heater hose (I do that every summer in my '88 Mazda truck).

Re: A/C just serviced but T° not very cold
Didn't these have the filter for the a/c blower? It might be clogged up by now if it hasn't been changed. Or maybe the evaporator coil is filled with dirt and gunk, but the filter would catch that. I believe it's under the glove box on these trucks.

Make sure he tells you how much he takes out - so you know whether or not you have a leak.
