More hosrepower!!!!!
I have a 95 Bonne, It was my daily drvier for a few years, but now i'm driving an S-10. I tried the car into a full out race car (Full roll cage, racing seat, no interior). I race on a 1/4 oval track in NH. Now here's the kicker, The divison I race in is a full size class. All the other cars are V-8!
I need any and all info i can get to make my car whip some v-8 butt. I have to stay within the rules, which are: 1) Complete Stock motor 2) Complete Suspention 3) No turbo or superchangers Please, I need help! Iwant to show everyonethat V-6's can infact show up some V-8's

Re: More hosrepower!!!!!
I am not trying be wise here but the old saying "no replacement for displacement" may hold true in your case if you must stay Stock.. I guess you can pick up 2-5 hp by using a K-N air filter and maybe 1-2 more by using synthetic oil. Can you free up the exhaust any? If you can get away with it that is where I would look first.

Re: More hosrepower!!!!!
well in that case, you can "rod out" the CAT and use the least restrictive muffler you can find. Just be aware the these motors like a bit of back pressure and cutting the pipe in back of the CAT may cost you some HP...

Also you can go to a ported Front Manifold, this will help increase the flow out of the front bank a little... If you know anyone with a Mill you may be able to have the Throttle shaft shaved down a bit...( every little bit counts ) Gut the Air Box( remove the Baffled in the front of and rear of the air box ), Once you have done that Cut the front of the Box open behind the headlight... And get that K&N filter As for the suspension.... Does it have to be stock to the car? Or stock on a Full Sized Bonneville? Other Models of Bonneville used the FE2/F41 Handling suspensions... Stiffer springs and larger sway bars.. |
