Re: Need help getting faceplate off

you have to remove the glove box and lower dash panel first. there are screws under the glove box, behind the glovebox, under the stereo above the cupholders, and behind the panel under the steering wheel. Once you get the lower dash panel off, there are four bolts...10 or 8 mm i think...underneath the stereo. Take these out, then the faceplate/stereo will come out. Disconnect all of the wiring harness plugs and the whole thing is free. The stereo and faceplate are both connected to the same metal frame. If this is not clear or doesn't get you a good enough idea, go buy a haynes/helms manual at your local autozone/advanceautoparts/pepboys/etc. Also, make sure you have all of the installation pieces you need (wiring harness connectors, kit to fill hole in dash if your model has cdplayer/radio combo unit) which you can get at circuit city or best buy
