bad engine?

I just bought 2001 Prizm. The engine has no compression. Timing chain and cams are going around. Pistons are going up and down. Former owner said he was going down road and it just quit. Car has been sitting since last fall. anyone got any ideas? Does anyone have an engine for sale - 1.8 liter

you either have blown head gasket or cracked head. Your piston rings might be fried sounds like you need a rebuild or new car.
