not sure

I have a 2000 SL2 with around 115000 miles. the other day it didn;t want to start just turned over. i had to pump the gas to get it started once started it smoked some white smoke for about a minute. warmed up and it was fine for a few days. now it won't start at first once started irratic rpm for a few seconds then idles rough till warm with smoke sometimes. throttle response is slow. the oil level is good and not losing any coolant. its acually running cooler than normal barely hitting the C on the guage. if anyone has any ideas i would appreciate it. thanks

Re: not sure

Replace your Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor. Done. You may have to Hold the throttle at Wide Open Throttle (WOT) the first time so the injectors shut off since you have more than likely flooeded the engine.

What is the ECTS and what does it do? Searchfor some of my other posts and ive explained it
