Radiator Fans? Air-Cond Clutch;
Wiswind: 96 Windstar 3.8 : Ididn"t have Radiator Fans,I read Your intro,I found the answer,Their are two Coolant
Sending Sensers,One at the Thermostat Housing that sends temp to Gauge in Instrument Panel; The other One is positioned about 4 inches from the first toward Firewall;feeds the P.C.M. I disconected it and I now have both Radiator Fans. --- I still do not have Air Cond Clutch Engage. I did run a wire from Bat Pos, to + on clutch itself,I didn"t get the Click.I now believe I will have to have Comp. Clutch Replaced, I am guessing that Compresser will have to be removed; Thanks again for Your Knowledge ,I can at least drive the van now; |

Re: Radiator Fans? Air-Cond Clutch;
Hold on there! If you didn't also run a separate ground to the ac clutch coil, there's a chance it still is ok. The coil gets BOTH its power and ground from the CCRM, constant control relay module, so the ccrm may be the problem, not the coil. The CCRM ALSO provides power to the radiator fans! Aren't you having problems with them too? Running your van with the temp sensor disconnected is a short term solution and will give you secondary problems. When you tried to turn on the ac, did the radiator fans come on too, even though the ac didn't? They should have. Again this sounds like the CCRM! Good luck!
