94 Metro Code 1 flash then 2 Flash
I have gotten this since I swapped in an instrument cluster with a Tach. Can anyone please tell me what it is for? My car runs great gets around 38 to 42 mpg but idles at 1400rpm. Thanks trying to get ready for Calif. smog check. These are from check engine light on dash.
Oh this is a 1.0 5 speed . |

Re: 94 Metro Code 1 flash then 2 Flash
I read that earlier, but was confused a bit. Is it the same when you get the flash Check engine light 1 flash then 2 flashes as pulling code 12 with a code reader? How do I stop the flashing?
Many thanks for your reply. |

Re: 94 Metro Code 1 flash then 2 Flash
pull the extra fuse out of the fuse box. there is one fuse holder thats a little lower then the rest of them under the dash. will continue to flash code till you pull the diagnostic fuse out

Re: 94 Metro Code 1 flash then 2 Flash
I pulled the 20 amp fuse ( hanging lower than the rest) it did turn off the flashing light but when I plugged it back in the flashing check engine code came back on. I tried this with the engine on/ running and with it off, I tried it with the key on and off. Is there any length of time I ned to remove the fuse? An interesting side note the engine began to run a bit hot with the tests going on but the idle didn't change much. The fan did come on and run fine. Sorry to be a pain.

Re: 94 Metro Code 1 flash then 2 Flash
you take the fuse out and leave it out. you only put it in when you want to check the codes
