2002 Taurus

Drives fine, but when pulling a hill and the trans shifts to a lower gear there is a vibration or a miss, it is best described as if you have a straight trans and you start going to slow for the gear your in, once you give it gas it seem to correct itself.

Re: 2002 Taurus

Welcome to the forum!

When posting, please provide all relevant info such as engine (DOHC Duratech or 12V Vulcan), what you've checked (trans fluid condition and level, spark plugs), in this case, what the mileage is and when the last tune up was performed, etc.

The more information you can provide to us, the quicker we may be able to get the issue resolved.

Re: 2002 Taurus

When's the last time you've had a trans fluid and filter change? If so, was it just a pan drop and filter change?

or was all the fluid completely removed and replaced by a method other than using a shop trans pump machine and change the filter?

or did a shop use a trans fluid exchange, flush pump, and change the filter?
