Bad strut mount???

We just got back from TN and on the way there I heard/felt a noise comming from the driver side. It only happened when the wheel was turned right and then slight left passed on center. When we got there I got under the van had had someone turn the wheel. The coil sping almost seemed to bind and then move. I'm thinking its the strut mount, but i want to see what you guys think. Also, can i just replace this one mount, or should I replace the passenger side also? Thanks.

Re: Bad strut mount???

What year and mileage? You probably want to replace both, as one is gone the other probably isn't far behind. If you are above 75K and the struts haven't been replaced I would do the complete job, struts and mounts.

Re: Bad strut mount???

Sorry about that. Its a 2005 GC SXT with 59kmi. So am I right in thinking its the strut mount? I cant think of anything else that it could be. I felt the tie rod, and ball joint and there wasnt any binding.
