Question no a/c no shift check engine light on

94 z34 auto, check engine light comes on , trans only has 2,3 and reverse, i get low volt code for tps, a.c. does not work , it tends to do this more when car is cold. may only do this for a few miles , turn off car start back and ever thing is normal , i am sure trans , a/c and tps all get power from same wire from computer, just alot of things to rule out i just wonder if anyone else has had this problem.

Re: no a/c no shift check engine light on

I don't know but I think I'd start with checking the ECM ground(s)

Re: no a/c no shift check engine light on

hi there yes check ground wires at bellhousing bolt in the front

if they are fine try removing the a/c fuse and see how it does then

the compressor clutch coil may be shorted

had this same issue on the 98 achieva and had the same symptoms and troubles as well

have also had some cars with runnign and idling issues missing stalling and it was bad broken wires for the grounds at the bellhousing bolt

so...

hey guys great ideas , i checked all grounds , ones above starter and everthing that runs to a ground from computer, also i traced wires to tps and a/c cycle switch they are the same , "5v" power from computer, does not make a difference if a/c is on or off, thanks for replys guys. i assure you guys i will not quit until i find problem, love the car , it still looks and drives like new , i will be sure to post fix , after repair is made!!
