LS1 powered RX-7(FD) Complete!
I built this RX-7 for my friend, Ben. It is a '93 FD with a full LS1/T-56 drivetrain swap. I had intentions of building an exact replica but he is still modifying the car to his tastes, hence the wheels an spoilers
I am most proud of the engine bay, chassis and the tail-lights. Things I tried to duplicate like the little oil dipstick, intake/exhaust, Greddy oil-catch can, and brake lines all make me happy A a few videos of the car in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOOdv1TClxA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSn2bJK8V1c Build-up thread here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=756833 1:1 engine bay lights exhaust wheel |

Re: LS1 powered RX-7(FD) Complete!
Okay, an LS1 powered RX7 is so wrong on so many levels...but oh so right too
Talk about a complete change of character! From a high-strung rotary that revs to a million and wears out pretty fast...to a low-stress torque monster in an ultra-light body...that probably uses a lot less fuel too...at least at cruising speed under 100 MPH. Nice model, killer car!

With a cam, intake and headers this 7 dyno'd at 440rwhp!! It's unreal to cruise at 75mph well under 2krpm... |

Awesome! I always love your builds of your or your friends' cars. Just awesome detail and you always catch the character just right! Your build up threads are awesome, too. I love it. Very clean, awesome detail, and looks the business.
