Calsonic Skyline GTR updated 6-22-08
Well, Im beginning a new kit, the Tamiya Calsonic Skyline GTR. I was looking for pictures of this car's interior and they are basically dont exist. I searched on the forum, all the search engines and came up empty. If anybody has any pictures and wouldnt mind sharing postem or pm me. Ill even take pictures of other JGTC cars interior. Oh and does anyone know if anybody makes a photo etch set for this, I was looking for that to no success.

Re: Calsonic Skyline GTR
Well I was lucky enough to not have much to do after class today so here are some pics of what I was to get done. I did spray the body after sanding and priming all day. I also painted several pieces of the suspension and engine, but all that stuff still needs much more detailing.

Re: Calsonic Skyline GTR
*sigh* another one to add to my wishlist...
Looking good so far. Those wheels look very tasty . Is that clear in the last few photos, or did you just polish it up?Quote:

Re: Calsonic Skyline GTR
No clear has touched the car yet. Actually I wet sanded the body today and reshot a wet coat of ts44. I didnt do the front bumper cuz that was already really smooth and shiny. I should have updates by tom

Re: Calsonic Skyline GTR
I had all weekend to work on the R33. Most of the decals are on the car so far. These were thinnest decals I have ever came across. So this is what everyone talks about when working on decals of the jgtc cars. I used microset to place them on the body and set it aside to dry for 30 mins. I hardly used any microsol, I brushed some on onto all the decals but with very little microsol. You guys like the CF on the front bumper. That was done very very patiently 8) Sorry for the small pictures , photobu##$t resized them much smaller than usual

Re: Calsonic Skyline GTR
Nice progress. I'd trim that excess cf decal though off the front skirt...tidy it up a bit.
