Transmission Heat Noise
My 97' SC2 has ever since the day we got it had heat noise. Once the transmission gets hot it makes noise, more in the higher rpms and when downshifting (dragging the tranny) but also prodominant when accelerating hard. The noise sounds much like just dry bearings. Fluid level is up. I have put some Lucas oil in it and it hasnt seemed to help. Anyone know of anything that may help? Or what the problem may be? The car is also hard to get into first gear sometimes, and sometimes second and third as well which I am fairly certain is a worn clutch, i have another thread on that issue. Thanks for your help.

Re: Transmission Heat Noise
Might try flushing the transmission and re filling with new. The fluid may have broken down a bit and be a little less resistant to the heat your trans creates.
