alarm draining battery

just recently my factory original alarm has been deciding to go off when it gets bored. seams to have something to do with the sitting out in the sun but it will go off completely randomly without anyone being near the car. If I shut it off by unlocking the door it'll go again a few minutes later. When I go into work I come back to a dead car and have to push start it. I don't care about the alarm system as long as I don't have to push start it every time. I don't mind disabling the system by grounding it like it says on 3si wiki, but would like to just yank the whole thing and not worry about any battery drains at all. What do you guys suggest?

Re: alarm draining battery

I had the same problem on my previous car. Your hood sensor must have gotten bent at some point. With the combination of the sun heating the metal and it already being bent it causes the sensor to trigger the alarm. All you need to do is bend it back up into its original place. Here is a picture of where it's located.
