I have a 2006 silverado 4.3 with less than 30,000 miles on it. 5 speed manul transmission, Its hard to get into first gear at times, , and at times locks up in neutal, could itbe the clutch adjustment? clutch grab very close to floor. How do I adjust the clutch? any help thanks.

Trans is full, is there an adujustment on this.. The trucks got less than 30,000 so it should be under warrant 36 0r 36. I had troubl when i fist got it and gm couldnt find anything. I a retired truck driver so its not me. seems like the older trucks that use to stuck between gears.

Re: manual trans problem

If it has the hydraulic clutch system there is no adjustment. Check fluid in the clutch master cylinder. If it's still in warranty, dealer should make it right!!

Good luck.

the transmission could be defective...but the clutch could also have problems other than wear as well as the clutch control cylinder...

based on your clutch pedal it appears to me to be a clutch problem..
