I have a 1993 GEO Tracker that I just swapped a motor into. I had a 1991 and wrecked it, and bought a new body with a bad motor (thus the 1993). I put the new motor in and it will not start. It is getting plenty of fuel, the timing is on, and it's getting spark, but it just cranks and cranks. The battery is new. The engine ran perfect when I pulled it the other day (I drove the wrecked tracker to the other tracker to make the swap easier). I can't figure out why the stupid thing won't start. The radio, AC, Heat, everything inside works, but I can't figure out what else it could be. Is there an ECM in these things? If so, could that be the problem? Where would it be located? Any help would be appreciated! Please help me before I go insane!! I don't know what else to do!!!!!

Re: 93 Tracker- Pullin My Hair Out
In answer to your question, there is an ECM in them. I have a 92 Tracker convertible that the ECM burned up in (It is famous for sub standard Japanese electrical). All the same symptoms. I had fuel, spark, timing. The only problem was that it wasn't opening the injector. Once I replaced the ECM, it ran like a brand new car. I think we paid 200 for it? Haven't had a problem with it since. Hope this helps.
