94 pickup, headlight relays?

I just got a nice low mile 94. It has a few little issues. here's one i don't know how to fix...
Low beams work fine, on high only the left is on and the dash indicator is not lit either. Now if i click it maybe 20 times the right highbeam will come on and the indicator will light too. is there a relay for this?
Thanks in advance.

Ive got the same model, same problem, but with the left high beam. Low is fine, high only the right works, changed headlights, still the same.

Re: 94 pickup, headlight relays?

I'm gonna pull the switch assy out and have at it with some contact cleaner this weekend. I'll post later with my results.

Re: 94 pickup, headlight relays?

cleaning the switch assy. fixed the problem.
It's pretty easy to get out and clean. Just 5 screws on the bottom of the column cover (you don't need to remove the 2 black screws).
remove two screws holding the switch to the column and unplug the connector (squeeze the tab in).
The translucent white plate covers the switch contacts.
now, i just popped up a corner of the cover and sprayed a little WD-40 on the contacts. I do mean a little, just a little. I put a little on the plug contacts as well.
All done...
Well, I tested it before I put the covers back on.
Remember, your results may vary.
