Water Issues

I've had some water issues for awhile now with my wife's 1999 Cabrio. After rains, the inside of the windows will fog up. I suspected water seeping in around bad window seals. However, I've discovered that the problem is coming from water entering the trunk and pooling around the spare tire well. It appears often to be very fine, almost like mist rather than large puddles. However, it does accumulate over time. Has anyone else had this problem? It appears that the seal around the trunk is fine and is not allowing water in that way. Does anyone know where the water may be entering from?

I have never even seen inside a Cabrio newer than the 80's.

Of Course, if it is anything like the ones I know, than it is most likely the rear window seal.
However, There SHOULD be a small drain hole under the spare tire.
Look under the rear of the vehicle at the Center of the SpareTire well, and make sure that the hole is free of debri.
