need some help

95 Pontiac transport 3.8L fwd

trying to put a ball joint in and the drive shaft slipped out of transmission and we can get it back in any tips/links/tricks that will help?

The Haynes manual suggests placing a large screwdriver in the groove of the inner CV joint and using that to help seat the joint into the transaxle.

we got it
had to take the strut off and just turned the half-shafts around a few times pushing in and it fell in really nicely
