Water in Van

I have a '01 Venture. After a heavy rain, we always get water that drips onto our feet on the driver and passenger sides. Is this a common problem? I wonder where it's leaking? Does anybody have the same problem?

Re: Water in Van

these vans are bad about leaking where the rubber molding around the windshield goes across the top of the van.try putting a bead of neoprene all the way across the molding where it meets the metal. also check to make sure the a/c drain hose is still on as if it is off water will drip between the firewall and end up in the floorboards.

Re: Water in Van

the drain hose sticks out of the firewall and is a rubber hose with a 90 degree bend in it. it could be missing as these fall off for some reason on these vans.and this lets water drain inside the firewall and end up in the floorboards.it is located halfway up the firewall little towards passengerside from center of firewall.it cold be just clogged up as muddaubbers love to fill these hoses up.try squeezing the hose together from the end up to firewall you might have to run a stiff ziptie or small wire up the hose to clear it. don't be under the hose cause when it unclogs or all of the mess will end up on you.if you can get it up on a set of ramps this should give you room enough to check it out.good luck
