Worth the effort ?

OK so as you guys already know I am addicted to buying/reselling cars :/ but anyways I made a new friend at a local DSM bbq at a park and he has a 1997 talon turbo and what not and he only wants $700.00 for the car. It's an automatic with a shot tranny but the motor looks good. I was thinking about giving him my red one since he also is looking into a SRT-4 swap and possibly a couple bills ontop of that for mine.

I can do the manual swap easily enough..know enough people with tools / lifts / garages and all that jazz. The interior is almost spotless. The body is perfect and best of all it doesn't have the sunroof =P Lime green color with black top. rolling on 16"s heh. Oh and the car only has 101,295 miles. O.o

Lime green?? Uhhhh...

Nah, if you really want a turbo DSM its probably not going to come cheaper. Is it AWD? If it is I'd be all over it, not to fix up just for the AWD parts to put into a Spyder.

Yeah like pale lime green or something. I will go to 'investigate' it some more tomorrow and get a complete low down. From my understanding though all TSi's were AWD ? o.O that was what seperate the ESi and TSi from Mistu's RS/GS - GS-T/GSX mixes. Then again i've never had a Talon or looked up any info on them but know they are all the same as eclipses just different layouts for drivetrain ? o.O

From the just of what he's saying - Lime green , no sunroof , TSi auto turbo with redtop motor , cloth interior , ground effects.I am taking it Tom means this green ->

Not quite. Some TSI's were AWD, but not all. Drivetrain is the same for their respective years, the only real differences between the two is the body style and the emblems

It does sound like a good deal though if you can handle the pea green paint lol...ugh what an ugly color.

Re: Worth the effort ?

OK well i'm giving him my 'vette engine for the car. Seems as though he would prefer to have it to stick in his truck instead of $700.00 lol..I didn't get a chance get some snap shots of it but it will be home saturday so who knows then =)
