Question 1985 F250 460CID 7.5L Hard to Start Warm

I have a 1985 F250 with a 7.5l 460 CID engine. Hard to start when warm, black soot and gas smell shoot out of exhaust pipe when it starts. Once it is running it idles better but seems a little low on the RPM's. Recent tune up, plugs, wires, distributor cap, pcv valve, , timing, oil & filters.

Any one have any ideas?

It sounds like you need a new needle and seat in your carburetor. I would get someone who works on carburetors to just put a complete overhaul kit in the carburetor.

Thanks, I figured it was the carb but wanted some confirmation. I will give it a go.
