97 Regal Cigarette Light won't work

The cigarette lighter worked for a long time. One day it stopped working (there are two cigarette lights in the front of the vehicle. Both didn't work. I have checked the fuse and it was not blown. There is power going to the fuse as well. What would be my next step in fixing this problem?

Two cigarette lighters? The cigarette lighter is the one under the ashtray access panel. The one on the right in the center console is for accessory power. Next step would be to check the voltage directly at each socket input electrical connector since the fuse is good and you have power to the fuse.

And welcome to AF.

With a multimeter (DMM) or 12 volt test light. Remove the ashtray and you will see the wires and connector plugs for both receptacles. Orange should be hot and black ground. But the easiest check is remove the cigarette lighter element and probe the center part of the socket/receptacle. Use a good ground. For the cigarette lighter you may just have a bad element. Have you tried any other accessories with it like cell phone power adapter, etc.?
