Idle Compensation

My 95 Tacoma 2.7L 4x4 started acting up when using the A/C. If the truck is sitting at idle and I turn on the A/C the engine idles up fine, but if I am driving with the A/C on and I let off the accelerator the rpms fall and it has no idle compensation. It doesn't stall very often, but it definitly has no idle compensation so it idles very low and rough. If I turn the A/C off and back on again using the switch it idles up just fine.

The truck has no codes and runs fine otherwise. I did recently remove the throttle body to clean it but it was acting up like this before that and this hasn't seemed to affect it much.

Re: Idle Compensation

did you take of the idle air control valve on the bottom of the throttle body and clean and test it.....mine idle was rough and terrible and I took mine off and cleaned it and tested the resistance in it,,,which was a bit high but I put it back on...and it did help....it did idle better.....you can find details on how it test it on autozone web site,,,let me know if this helps
