Electrical insanity in a 1995 concorde

Hi,
lately my concorde is acting up.
sometimes the environmental controls would not turn on when i start the car.
No Blower fan, no electric windows, ABS and airbag light on.
if i turn the key off and restart the car it would be ok.
this past weekend, it apparently did not turn off and killed the battery.
yesterday I had to turn the key several times to get it to turn off properly. this morning, it would not turn on at all.
is this common problem? I have another ENV control panel module I'll try tonight. but it sounds more like ignition switch issues to me.
I changed the switch a couple years ago for an unrelated problem.
any ideas/thoughts ?

I totally fixed it.
it was the ignition switch.

I opened the switch to see why. One of the contacts was burnt a bit and it had overheated and melted the cams on the main barrel that the keyswitch turns.
I had the old one that I replaced a couple years ago. I cleaned up the contacts in it and its perfect. it is a PITA to get appart and back together properly but worth the time i think

Perfect timing Joust Same year and similar issue. The system has been going on and off on me for a few months actually. It defaults to a defrost mode that gets you around in the winter but roasts the crap out of you in the summer. I figured it was rotten wiring somewhere.
How do you get the ignition switch out?

Your ATC (Automatic Temperature Control) Head Unit is going bad, that is a classic sign when the display blanks and the defrosters come on with the fan at a moderate speed and blowing full heat.

Try and find one online or at a wrecking yard that doesn't think it's made of gold, that unit can be expensive.

to repair and get the thrill back than a pissed off girlfriend.
