If I remove the tube that connects my Intake to the Valve Cover, and I replace it with 2 breather filters instead, will I be losing power? And would I be hurting my engine?
I've been trying to look into them cause I hear the breather is good for gas mileage, but I keep finding mixed ractions on them, both good and bad. Cause, I'm thinking the Filter at the end of the Intake is exposed and doesn't hurt anything so why would it make a difference on top? I could be wrong, but thats why I'm asking. I want to make sure. I'm talking about a set-up like this:

Re: Air Filter Breathers?
Breathers are good.
If you have high pressure in the crank case (turbo), it's good to have a breather to let out the pressure built up. On my CAI I have the breather on the VC, and blocked off the hole on the CAI pipe. But think about it. It allows more air to flow in to the intake. But it could be warm air since it's up on top of the motor and the hot air is there. It could go either way. I'd say use filters.

Re: Air Filter Breathers?
Yeah, thats what I was thinking and I talked this over with my dad who knows a lot about cars and he's who I learn from.
So the set-up in the picture won't harm anything even if its N/T? If I should only use 1 filter than what could I do to block the hole in the intake pipe?

Re: Air Filter Breathers?
You won't have any issues.
I actually found a wall anchor, the thing that the screws go into dry wall... fit perfectly in the hole, then I filled with JB weld. Solid air tight fit.
