97 GTP Climate Control

I need help!! My fan on my climate control only works on high and I can not get it to switch. IE floor to dash to defrost etc. I have replaced the controls in the dash, the blower motor and the resistor. I am at a loss of where to go next. Anyone with any suggestions or enlightenment would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to AF.

Just to clarify, do you have the Auto Climate control or manual A/C controls?

Do you have any other electrical gremlins like the DIC blinking, or warning lights coming on for no reason? If you do, this could be a bad ignition switch causing the high speed only blower issue.

Have you done any underhood work near the battery area? There is a vacuum line that runs from the engine, near the battery, then back to the passenge conpartment. The HVAC unit uses this vacuum for switching modes from floor, to vent, to defrost and it could be broken, cracked or disconnected.

Re: 97 GTP Climate Control

Yes, it is a manual climate control, and no there are no blinking lights or anything. My information center in my dash does blank out if the fan speed is set to anything other than to high. I do know what vaccuum line you are talking about, and have checked it. It doesn't seem to be unhooked, but as far as cracks or holes, I'm not sure, I don't have a vaccuum tester.
