LS1 prob

I have a 98 formula with an LS1 and am having a problem with starting it. Turns over fine, checked the fuel presssure(good) fuses for injectors(good) checked to see if air filter could be clogged, (seemed fine). Tried to start with air filter open and car finally started(after cranking awhile). The car has sat with the same gas for a few months. Could this possibly be the culprit? (gas doesn't smell like gasoline should I think) After I got it started and up to temperature, I haven't been able to get it not to start again. I hate the intermitant problems. Car seems to idle fine. Same problem happened yesterday when my wife drove it to work. After almost draining the battery cranking it, she got a push start and it fired right up! Car has 53000 miles on it and servicedregularly. Any IDEAS?

Re: LS1 prob

I would drain the tank and put some fresh high test in. wouldn't hurt to change the fuel filter either.
