hard to start

its been awhile have been looking at the posts both recent and past.

here is the run down

98 geo 3 cyl. 5 spd....130k
new head and assorted goodies. after much cranking it loses comp. let it sit for a while go back and try again. it might start. if it does it runs like a pos. used a known to be good computer box and other assorted parts. still ssdd. what to do?

temp sensor?
mapp sensor?
been through vac. lines, fpr, fuel pump.
need new wig as ive pulled all hair out.

ready to call the wrecker or lets make a deal to rid my life of this pos

Where you live? Did you check compression? Timing? Do you have good spark?
