89 formula exhaust question

hi guys im new to AF and i have a question i keep getting mixed answers from other people about...
is it possible to fit true dual exhaust on an 89 firebird, because mine just passed emissions for the last time till 2028 and id like to start doing some mods to it and i figure exhaust is a good and not quite as expensive place to start...
thanks!

Re: 89 formula exhaust question

Dual exhaust possible? Yes. Cheap? NO! A true dual exhaust will need to be custom frabricated to follow the same route the current single exhaust does. It needs to follow this route to provide enough ground clearance.

Re: 89 formula exhaust question

ok thank you very much
if i do get true dual its not gonna be for a while cuz the 305 that is in it lived up to the legend and the head gasket blew and siezed the engine up due to the antifreeze leaking into the crankase so now its getting a 350 so moneys gonna be low for a while
thanks again
