a few questings I have

I Have a few questions I want to make clears of for my 91 thunderbird with the 5.0L in it.

1. is the 5.0L the same as the stang? and can I swap out parts like the transmission into the tbird? I want to turn my tbird in a manual driving car. I understand all the stuff in between like clutch peddle needed and all the stuff to engauge the clutch on and off.
2. My gas guage is stuck on full and the last time it did that I hit a bump and it unstuck got any solutions?
3. my alt gauge dont work is there a way to fix that with out tearing out the dash to replace it?

Hey thanks a bunch for your reply now. then on the gas gauge problem I looked under my car and it obveiously dosen't show anyway to get it unless I drop the tank OR what another guy suggest is to cut a slit on the top of where the gas tank would sit and with out cutting the gas tank I can make a place to get to that with out dropping the tank? which mine is in the back seat.

It's easier and safer to drop the tank. Soak the strap bolts with PB Blaster, Kroil or some other rust penetrant for a couple of days before you try to remove them and don't forget about removing the screws holding the filler neck to the body! Try to do this when the tank is about empty to cut down on the weight you have to handle when removing it.

cool. I could probley put the car on ramps to attempt this can I? or something that could at least get it up high enough to get a couple of speed jacks under it and have room to fittle with things?

Ramps should be ok. Put a board on a jack and use it to support and lower the tank. It's nice to have someone there to help keep the tank steady while you lower it.
