Anal previous owner?

If it runs fine right now, don't worry about it. In the future, one is all that's needed. Any more is just a restriction to fuel flow.

Re: 2 fuels filters on my truck?

every car has a general screen to keep out large material before going into the pump...after the pump they will put it through a finer filter before it gets injected into the engine..

some vehicles use a primary and secondary filter to ensure that there is no debris and dirt going into the system...diesel trucks do that guaranteed cuz of the pressures and whatnot that is delt with..
