97 monte carlo yeah i know not a f body lol
hey guys, im posting this here for the fact that i know alot of u guys already and trust your help more than anyone else...friend has a 97 monte..think its a 3.1L v6...any how she says she was driving the car and it overheats...she pops the hood and she said the reserve container is filled and over flowing???? i have never seen this happen b4 nor heard of it on any car for that matter...my question is what the hell could do that? i guessed maybe a clogged system some how? if so what can be done to check this or and or fix this? any ideas would be lots of help...thanks guys

If the over flow bottle was acting like old faithful I would suspect a blown head gasket. Easy way to check it. Get one of the spark plug hole air adaptors and put compressed air in each cylinder until you find one that makes the radiator bubble (check both banks of the engine). If none of the cylinders will make bubbles in the radiator start looking at a new water pump.

Lower intake manifold gasket is my educated guess. Especially with how common it is.
