Just as I pulled in this morning ..

Just as I pulled in my parking spot this morning I got a cloud of steam from under the hood! Turns out that pesky coolant pipe from the water pump to the radiator hose came out AGAIN! First time that happend the bolt on the trans. case had come out, letting the pippe back out and dump coolant. Well THIS time the little arm on the pipe where that 10 mm bolt passes through broke off. pipe backs out .. coolant gushes .. driver says "what the f*&K!"
So at least it was easy to fix. I scounged a large zip tie and secured the pipe through the clutch cable bracket under the battery tray. Test fired the engine .. looks OK .. back to my desk for a sandwich. Anybody else have this pipe pop-off like this? I would guess it's a re-ocurring thing. Not a show stopper but it keeps me engauged with my Pipsqueak. Good relationships need a little maintenance now & then anyway. I don't want things too easy anyway. Don't want to become a clueless, dependant marshmallow .. I want to stay engaged with life. One reason I like re-building my old cars and proudly driving them. Plus I save money and get dirty too!
Woo hoo! So there's my two cents for today. DangerDude
