1993 Lumina Z24 Blinker Issues.

I just purchased this car a week ago. I knew when I got it, it had a few problems. The only one I can't seem to get a hold of is the issue with the Turn Signals...they don't work at all. I changed the flasher, checked the fuse, replaced any nonworking bulds and cannot seem to figure it out. The Hazards work but only in the front of the car. I have dug around on tyhe internet and heard a few people suggest the multifunction switch. Could this maybe be the problem, if so, any idea what one would cost. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like the M/F switch to me.

Wondering if you have any brake lights?

I agree with Jeff, that your issue is the M/F switch. As he was eluding to, if you only have the high mount brake light in the rear and the main brake lights are inop), then it's definitely a M/F switch. This is because all the power to the main rear lights is routed through the M/F switch

I assume by the "High Mount Brake Light" you mean the one in the back window? When the brakes are applied, the lights on the outsides on the rear all light up. Any idea where I might find a wiring diagram so I could try to pin point the problem?

Re: 1993 Lumina Z24 Blinker Issues.

Thanks for the help everyone. I took the old switch apart and found alot of corrosion between the contacts. I cleaned it up and got it to work half way. I purchased a used one from a GM Salvage yard for $40.00 and it works perfect. Thanks again for the info.
