No Engine Light

Hello Guys I Have A 96 Maxima And There Is A Funny Noise Coming From The Engine That I Can Not Describe. Anyways I Plug In My Obd2 To See If There's Anything Going On And Found Out That There Is A Code There A p0325 Knock Sensor Circuit 1 Bank 1 And What's So Funny Is That The Engine Light Does Not Come On At All Have Own This Car For Six Months Now And Never Seen The Engine Light Come On So What Does These Mean. And Also Do You Guys Know What Does Circuit 1 And Bank 1 Stand For.

Thank You

V6 is divided into two 3-cylinder rows = bank1, bank2

The light is lazy, comes on only when critical errors

KS signal will retard ignition, will worsen mpg. Do correct the cause...

Take plugs out and compare how they look, see ngk.com

Find 'all maxima' info via my favorites link page, click below.

O.K. by you saying that is divided in to two 3 cylinder rows that this mean that cylinder 1,3 and 5 is bank 1 and cylinder 2,4 and 6 is bank 2 is that right. Also I did compare all spark plug and let me tell you that spark plug #1,3 and 5 is more darker but normal ware than spark plug #2,4 and 6 they have brown to grayish tan color and they are all NGK PFR5G-11. So that these means that everything is O.K. in respect to the spark plug condition.

Yes. Clearly conditions differ between banks, dependent on engine configuration eg. air/oilfume flow routings. If one plug was very different from adjacent, then there could be cyl specific injector/coilpack problem.

Run the self diag or have it done; check p21.

Platinum plugs are to be replaced every 60k, std plugs every 6k, coilpacks start to die at 100k (only replacement helps)

All diagnostics start by checking charge voltage.
