02 sensor

My 99 suburban has set a code for bank 2 sensor 2 02 sensor. (160). My scanner monitors the sensor and the voltage hovers around 0.45 +/- about 0.02. I just replaced the sensor but it did not fix the problem. I did not monitor the sensor before as I did not have the scanner. Any idea as to what might be the issue?

Re: 02 sensor

As you have found out a code does not say sensor is bad or replace the sensor.
It says to check it out.

For that code there is a big long repair flow chart tkat you need to go threw to test for that code.

Engine running and bad 02 sensor wiring could be part of the problem.
But get the repair flow chart and go threw it and se what is up on it.

A good factory repair manual or a all Data online sub has the repair flow charts for the codes.
