1999 VR6 RPMing high??

Hi,

I just bought a used 1999 VW Jetta VR6... I was driving it home on the highway, at about 120km/hr (or 75 miles/hr) and it was RPMing at about 4500 RPM.

Is this normal for a 4 speed automatic transmission???

Any feedback is much appreciated!
