If the compressor clutch isn't engaging odds are you are probably low on refrigerant. Just needs servicing. You can make sure the clutch is good by jumpering the clutch relay contacts. The clutch should engage. Don't let it run long like this. You could trash the compressor due to lack of lubricant.
