2000 Intrepid Limp Mode

Last night my car went into limp mode. Seconds after, my check engine light came on. I checked the code and it popped out P1684 and P0700.

I was told that P1684 means battery disconnected within 50 starts and also metering oil pump position sensor circuit malfuntion.(Whatever this means.)

I was also told P 0700 means transmission control system malfuntion. We changed both the input and out put speed sensor's(which is what we were told this meant.) and cleared the codes with the OBD-II. Check engine light went out. Drove it about 2 miles, check engine light came back on and it went into limp mode again.

What do these codes mean and how can I fix my car?

Re: 2000 Intrepid Limp Mode

Just wanted to update on this problem. I baught both sensors again, different store, replaced 1 at a time. The output sensor was bad, even though it was a new part we put into it yesterday, it was still bad. So far I have only drove the car 30 miles, but I haven't had any problems yet.
